Documents and letters relating to the final years of Komitas Vardapet's life shed new light on little-studied chapters of his biography, revealing previously unknown details about his health, personality, and daily life. The temporary exhibition "Letters from Villejuif" continues at the Komitas Museum-Institute.
On March 20 at 2:00 PM, the Museum will host a guided tour of the exhibition, led by Lilit Harutyunyan, scientific advisor of the Exhibition.
Donated by the renowned Armenian conductor Komitas Gevorgyan, the collection includes publications, postcards, photographs, Komitas's personal visiting card, and official documents. Among its most significant items are thirteen previously unpublished letters written between 1922 and 1935, offering valuable insights into Komitas's health and the organization of his medical care during his final years.
