Baby Concert

Age group: 0–6

A concert designed for the youngest audiences. Each session features a new musical fairy tale, through which children are introduced to songs and playful activities. At the end of the concert, children learn a favorite song together with Hasmik Baghdasaryan-Dolukhanyan.

Komitas’s Sound Library

Komitas’s Sound Library

Age group: 6+

In a digital sound library operated via a playback device, participants listen to Komitas’s compositions. The system is connected to ten sets of headphones, allowing multiple visitors to listen simultaneously without disturbing one another. Each headset is intended for individual use, ensuring clear and high-quality listening.

The Arches of Earth and Sky in the Epic

The Arches of Earth and Sky in the Epic

Age group: 13+

In the first part of the program, participants explore - through a series of slides - the features of ancient Armenian thought, beliefs, and worldview as preserved in folklore, with a particular focus on epic tradition.

In the second part, the history of the discovery and recording of the epic Daredevils of Sassoun is discussed, highlighting the role of collectors and storytellers. The structure of the epic and the defining traits of its heroes are presented in summary. Participants also become acquainted with the song fragments of the epic recorded by Komitas Vardapet, examining their structural features, listening to them, and learning a short excerpt.

Komitas in Works of Art

Komitas in Works of Art

Age groups: 6–10 and 10–14

In the first part of the program, children are introduced - through an interactive puzzle game - to a selection of sculptures and paintings depicting Komitas Vardapet. Brief information is also provided about the artists who created these works.

In the second part, inspired by the exhibited artworks and Komitas’s music, participants create their own drawings of Komitas, interpreting his image through their personal imagination.

Color as Melody: Saryan and Komitas

Age groups: 6–10 and 10–14

This program explores the shared artistic principles through which Martiros Saryan and Komitas Vardapet shaped a national language in art. Participants are introduced to selected paintings by Saryan that were created under the inspiration of Komitas’s music. During the session, they listen to these compositions and create their own artworks in parallel, translating sound into color.

Zar Zenge, Let it Zing

Age group: 6–12

Accompanied by fairy tales and music, participants are introduced to musical instruments, discovering their sonic characteristics and structural features. Through a “musical alphabet,” children develop their imaginative thinking and engage directly with the instruments, bringing to life the sounds hidden within them.

Komitas’s Study VR Tour

Komitas’s Study VR Tour

Age group: 8+

An introduction to the model of Komitas’s study in Constantinople through a VR headset, allowing participants to “walk” through the virtual space of the room. During the program, participants complete a crossword and reinforce what they have seen through rebuses, puzzles, and guided questions.

A Thousand and One Song

A Thousand and One Song

Age group: 6+

Learning Armenian folk songs. 

During the program, participants learn and sing together examples of Armenian traditional music. In addition to the ethnographic legacy of Komitas Vardapet, the program also includes materials recorded by other Armenian musicologists and folklorists.
