Researchers

The Research and Education Department of the Komitas Museum-Institute is dedicated to the study of Komitas’s life, creative legacy, scholarly work, and public activities, as well as the research of his archival materials and heritage. The Department’s research activities encompass contemporary issues in Komitas studies and the historical, theoretical, and source-based investigation of various branches, schools, and traditions of Armenian sacred and folk music, drawing upon Komitas’s scholarly approaches and methodology. Alongside its research work, the Department develops and implements museum educational programs, scholarly meetings, lectures, seminars, workshops, and other public initiatives, fostering the study, dissemination, and transmission of Komitas’s legacy and Armenian musical and cultural heritage to diverse audiences.
