ARCHIVAL COLLECTION

The archival collection of the Komitas Museum-Institute is a newly established repository that has been developed since the museum’s founding in 2015. The collection includes exceptionally valuable materials related to the life and work of Komitas Vardapet - manuscripts, letters, sheet music, photographs, documents, numismatic items, and more.

The archival collection comprises several sections: objects, photographs, fine arts, numismatics, audiovisual materials, and documents. Together, these sections present a multifaceted picture of Komitas and the cultural environment of his time.

The collection continues to grow through the addition of materials from the personal archives of Komitas scholars, musicologists, and researchers. It serves scientific, educational, and cultural purposes, contributing to the preservation, study, and promotion of Komitas’s legacy.
